Are you also one of the owners of the 2018 Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 cellphone?
One thing you will notice when you use the Camera app of this phone is that there is a missing Camera Button when you are using the Video or Recording mode in the Camera app.
You can actually take a photo while recording videos using your Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (X00TDB) mobile phone.
All you need to do is to tap on any part of the screen ONCE or TWICE and you will be able to take a photo already. The Camera button found on previous Android versions may be an absent feature in the Oreo Android system.
This is in contrast with my other phones such as the Firefly Aurii Magnum with an Android 7.0 (32-bit) system. The camera button is visible on the right side during recording mode or when taking videos.
The Huawei Y5 2017 (MYA-L02) with an Android 6.0 (64-bit) system has a visible camera button on the left side when taking videos or during the recording mode.
Clearly, both of these phones have a Camera button which you can easily press during the recording of your videos. The presence of these buttons is useful and handy whereas if you are already accustomed in seeing such Camera button during the video mode, you will be stupefied on how to do a camera shot when you are using an Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 cellphone.
I tried testing the tapping technique on my Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 which is currently running on an Oreo 8.1.0 system and was successful enough to conclude that a missing Camera button is not a hindrance in taking a photo while recording a video.
