Our son was so much in tune to watching a famous educational video from Youtube. Since our internet is lagging most of the time especially since it is sometimes slow to watch since an online video is buffering, it made me choose another path so that our son will be happy again. He was disappointed every time the video stops and whenever there is an advertisement in the middle of the show.
I cannot do anything with the latter except press “Skip the Ad” or we just tell him to wait. For the former, my solution is to download and save on an external hard disk and play it in our television or laptop without the need for slow internet.
After searching thoroughly and quickly for ways to download Youtube videos, I found these online Youtube download sites that offer to download Youtube videos without the need of installing any software. I have already forgotten some of the sites that I used before 2018 so I chose to browse for new ones.
All the search results list for Google Searched were delivered as of 30 October 2018.
BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE WEBSITES, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN UPDATED ANTI-VIRUS ON YOUR SYSTEM.
OnlineVideoConverter.com is the first one that I found since it was number one (1) on the Google Search results list. It has the usual advertisements for it. Its current version is 3.0 and it is very easy to use. There are also instructions on how to download when you scroll down on its page. You can select different format types of converted files from Audio and Video formats and I used the mp4 format since I want to download a video and I am sure this file type works on our television.
Just press the orange button with the “Start” on it and wait for the video processing to reach one hundred percent (100%) and then press the light blue button with the “Download” on it or choose the other light blue button with the “Convert Again” on it if you want to process the video again. The website also lets you choose to download using the QR code method if you want to download the video directly to your mobile phone, cell phone, smartphone, or tablet.
KeepVid.works is another online video downloader. It used to have a dot com website when I remembered using it but now when you use the dot com website, it will lead to a different one without the downloading part. Fortunately, this website was number two (2) on the Google Search results list which is just after the first one on this list. The pop-up advertisements will annoy you since every time you click on the space for the URL link where you need to paste the website link you need to download and after pressing the blue button with the “Download” on it, a new tab will appear showing another site.
I just left that new tab open and proceed to download the video which you can identify with a red big button with a “Download” on it. Remember, clicking the blue button first will not download the video yet but it will process the download link first before you can really download the file already. You need to use the traditional way of saving which is to do a right click on the red button with a “Download HD Video” on it. After right clicking, you need to select “Save the link as…” and then a pop-up save window showing the recommended file name and the mp4 extension will appear. Just click the Save button and the downloading will proceed.
SaveFrom.net is the number three (3) on the Google Search results list. All you have to do is paste the Youtube link on the space provided and after pressing the green button with a “Download MP4 720” on it, a new tab will appear showing another website. Just ignore this and wait for the downloading to finish. A pop-up window showing a thank you message and a recommended software to be installed will also appear while downloading. Choose your preferred video quality, namely 720p mp4, 360p mp4, 240p 3gp, and 144p 3gp. Click the purple button with the “Download” on it and wait for the downloading to complete.
QDownloader.net is the number five (5) on the Google Search results list. You need to paste the Youtube link on the space provided and press the purple button with a “Download” on it. A new tab will appear showing another website, just ignore this and wait for the previous download website to generate download links.
SaveTheVideo.com is the number seven (7) on the Google Search results list. It has three colored buttons, namely green, red, and orange just below the space provided for the Youtube link that you want to download. Just paste the link on this blank space and then press the green button with the “Download Video” on it. Wait for the processing to finish and then press the big green button with the “Download Video (MP4)” on it and a new tab will appear that will show you the video. You need to right click on this video while it is playing and choose the “Save video as…” or press Ctrl plus S which are both have the same functions. A pop-up save window will appear and all you have to do is input a new filename since it will only show a “videoplayback.mp4” and then press the gray button with the “Save” on it and wait for the downloading to finish.
YouTubNow.com is the number eight (8) on the Google Search results list. I chose this one since after pasting the target website link to be downloaded, it automatically searches for the video. All you have to do is press the red button with a “Download” on it. After pressing it, a new tab will appear showing another website. Just ignore that new tab and wait for the download to finish.
These are just some of the many Youtube downloader that you can use which shows on the top ten (10) on the Google Search results list as of 30 October 2018, ignoring the featured snippet search result that appears on top which is really an annoying feature, for me.
As you will notice, most of these websites will generate a new tab or a pop-up window that shows another website. These are forms of advertisements since these Youtube downloader sites are offering their services for free but at the same time, they will show advertisements. These are the disadvantages of using free downloader sites that is why you have to be careful and be aware of what you click on the internet.
Do not click anything.
Do not be trigger happy in clicking.
Always have antivirus software installed on your system especially if you are using a Windows operating system.
